What to Expect
- Depending on the strength of your peel, you may experience:
- Redness or warmth
- Tightness or dryness
- Mild swelling
- Peeling or flaking of the skin
Peeling may begin 2–3 days after treatment and can last up to 5–7 days.
First 24 Hours
- Avoid touching or picking at your skin
- Do not apply makeup unless approved by your provider
- Avoid sweating, exercise, saunas, or hot environments
- Avoid sun exposure
Cleanse gently with a mild cleanser and apply a recommended moisturizer.
Important: Do Not Pick Peeling Skin
As your skin sheds, it is extremely important that you:
- Do NOT pick or peel the skin
- Do NOT scrub or exfoliate
Prematurely removing peeling skin can lead to scarring or pigmentation changes.

Avoid the following until your skin has fully healed:
- Retinol or Vitamin A products
- AHAs / BHAs

Sun Protection
Your skin will be more sensitive to UV exposure after a chemical peel.

Sun protection is critical to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Additional Guidelines

- Keep skin well moisturized to support healing
Contact Your Provider If You Experience

Following these instructions will ensure safe healing and optimal results from your chemical peel treatment.
